چکیده
Penetration-aspiration is the most serious complication in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) after radiotherapy. Radiotherapy has been shown to increase patient's survival rate and life expectancy but it showed side effects such as oropharyngeal dysphagia. It’s related morbidity mortality penetration-aspiration could progress aspiration pneumonia, sepsis, death if not treated properly. Factors suspected be determinants of were location pharyngeal residue, stage NPC, time This primary objective this study was determine clinical factors NPC In a cross sectional, observational analytic study, total 24 obtained consecutive sampling technique. Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation swallowing (FEES) examination performed on radiotherapy assess residue penetration-aspiration. The Yale Pharyngeal Residue Severity Rating Scale (YPR-SRS) Penetration-Aspiration (PAS) used presence penetration-aspiration, respectively. Statistical analysis multiple logistic regression (p<0,05) Wald statistics find stronger relationship between variables.

Identifying pretreatment baseline factors predictive of distant metastasis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy
This retrospective study was performed to identify pretreatment baseline factors that could predict the development of distant metastasis (DM) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).A cohort of 119 NPC patients undergoing radiotherapy (RT) or chemoradiotherapy (CRT) were recruited into the study. Among them, 51 developed DM (DM group) within 3 years after treatment and 68 did not (DM-f...
